Happy 5th Birthday Haley

I can't believe that I have a 5 year old and soon to be kindergartner. She woke up to her room decorated and breakfast in bed, well that was what was suppose to happen! Actually Haley was the first to wake up at 5:30am and wanted her breakfast in bed right then! I had her lay with me until 6am. She then had to wait in her bed until I could make her breakfast and carry it up to her, she loved that. All week she has been waiting for a decorated room and breakfast in bed, talk about the little pleasures in life! Her big gift was a big girl bike that she received on Saturday, so for today I had three smaller gifts that she was able to open at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The first was her birthday outfit with Hannah Montana flip flops and a High School Musical bracelet and sunglasses, she looked very hip for her party at preschool! For lunch she opened the High School Musical Microphone, but oops, I forgot the batteries so we have yet to hear her sing in it! And finally, after dinner and left over "Enchanted" cake, she opened a music box filled with dress up make-up, nail polish and hair clips; this was by far her favorite! She is growing up so fast, I love you, Haley Annette!!

Rockstar Princess

Haley had a fun birthday party at Libby Lou's! Their was no stopping these rock star princesses. Libby Lou's is a fun store in our mall, they have one in Downtown Disney too. It is full of Hannah Montana and High School Musical stuff as well as other girly girl stuff, Haley loves this store! The party started with a dance show in the mall before they had their makeovers, then they went to get dressed in the outfits of their choice and next it was off to get a rock star/princess makeover. Haley, Mikayla and Cara choose princess gowns and Sydney and Kristen choose rock star outfits. Then Haley decided to have a rock star hairdo and makeup so we called her the rock star princess. After the makeovers were done they had a fashion show for all of us and anybody else who happen to walk through the mall. When it was all over we took the princesses out to dinner at Red Robbins to celebrate Haley's 5th birthday. Their were balloons, presents and a special "Enchanted" Cake waiting for her. Everyone had a fun day and Haley was completely surprised by the whole thing!

Mikayla decided to get my black Sharpie and pretend it was make-up. She gave herself eyebrows and lipstick! It also got all over her new Baby Gap shirt that I love, luckily I was able to get it out, not so permanent for a permanent marker!! At first I was so mad, it took me a while to calm down enough to laugh and take her picture.~

Soccer Game

This Saturday was a busy one, Haley was in the Henderson Parade in the morning and had a soccer game in the afternoon. I got a cute video clip of Haley playing soccer, she is a ball hog!! She does not care who she has to get it from she wants that ball. I am surprised at how aggressive she is, it is really not like Haley to be so aggressive. However, she does not like when the other girls try to get the ball away from her, she takes it personally. This last game a girl from the other team tried to take the ball away from her and pushed her down in the process. I watched Haley just give her the meanest look, if looks could kill, I tell you!! It was more then the loss of the ball, she really got upset over it! As my dad would say "toughen up", Haley!!

Haley got 2 goals, 1 was for the other team!!

Memories.....

Today I was not feeling well at all and pretty much in bed all day. My poor children were stuck watching TV and movies. The girls must have gotten tired of the TV because they turned it off and started playing together. In bed with my TV off too, I was able to really listen to my cute little girls play. Even though I was sick and really feeling bad, it made my heart feel good to hear them playing so well with one another. I love to listen to their pretend "grown up" conversations they have with each other. Today they played "house", "school" and "swimming lessons". Since they were playing with dolls they were both the teachers and mommies of their individual dolls. Laying there listening to them, it reminded me of when my sister and I used to play "swimming lessons". One of the "lessons" I remember well was, me as the teacher, being very insistent on Tammy diving off the diving board (our pink metal desk), and into the water (our floor). She kept saying she was scared and did not want to, and I said she had to because I was the teacher. She was a hard sell, but eventually did and ended up with a broken leg; she was in a full leg cast for a while!!! I remember feeling so bad about it, and I remember my mom getting really mad at me. Needless to say I don't remember any more "swimming lessons" after that!! I loved to be in charge and tell Tammy what to do, Haley is the same way!!! Lets hope nothing like that happens to one of my children!


Watch out Brayden, Mikayla is learning from Haley and will know just what to do as the big sis when Haley is in school!!!

Logandale Fair

We went to our 1st state fair on Saturday. It was very dirty, fun, but very dirty!!! Haley performed with Brenda's dance studio, she did a tap dance. She loves being on stage and being able to wear make-up!! I am not good at the video part in my camera but I attempted to do a video clip that I have posted. Ignore the shaking and Haley is the one in the middle in hot pink with her hair in a bun and a black feather in her hair. After the performance we all stayed and enjoyed the food and the rides. The girls got to ride on their first real horse, they loved it! I think I have two cowgirls on my hands! Haley's favorite ride was the pony rides and Mikayla's was the pony rides and the bouncer slide. She did not like the little kid roller coaster at all, she walked off of it screaming and crying, while Haley wanted to ride it again! We had fun, loved the food, but wished we did not get so dirty.

Strike a Pose

I took Brayden for his one year pictures today and boy was he a ham! He played bashful at first, then turned on the charm and would not stop smiling for the nice girl. She got so many cute shots that she had to delete some, she had too many!! I am bummed about the main outfit I got for him to wear, it was a set from Babies R Us, cute little overalls and a hat. I got size 12 months, which is the size he wears, the overalls fit perfect, the hat on the other hand would not stay on his HUGE head!! I was so frustrated, I kept smashing it down hoping it would stay and it just kept popping off. The second outfit I had for him did not include a hat luckily! I can't pick the pictures up until the 28Th of the month, I hate having to wait, I'm not a patient person!!!!!!!

Crawling, Finally!!

I am so excited, Brayden started crawling last night. He crawled a little then would go back to his army scoot, that we have all grown so fond of. I swear he really gets around fast with that scoot. Anyway, I went to bed last night wondering if he would continue the crawling today or if he would forget that he crawled and go back to scooting? I am pleased to say that he has continued crawling and is getting faster by the hour. When I can get a cute picture or video of it I will post it, he is the cutest thing. Does that mean walking is around the corner? I hope so!

Brayden's 1st Birthday

On April 3rd 2008 my baby boy turned one!! It's hard to believe it has already been a year, it went by so quickly. He is so sweet and happy all the time, I can always get him to smile. He is still not walking, not even close yet! And he has yet to say a real word, other then babble, and the occasional "da da" and "ma ma"!! He is allot smaller then the girls were at his age too, which is why we all think of him as a baby still. But he is trying, he has started pulling himself up and just recently moving along the furniture on his feet. He loves music and is always ready to join the girls with shaking his head back and forth and clapping his hands to the beat, it is hilarious to watch. I am excited to see him grow and begin toddler hood. What will this new year have in store for him, only time will tell!

Mikayla turns 3

On March 31st Mikayla woke up to breakfast in bed and a decorated room in honor of her turning three. I did not get a picture of all of it, but I hung streamers in the door way that they had to walk through, and their were balloons and banners hanging on all the furniture, it was pretty crazy. Haley and I had to blow out her candle because she was half asleep and did not want anything to do with blowing out a candle!! Haley and Brayden helped her eat her blueberry muffin cake, bacon and a special strawberry yogurt and cherry surprise. They made a mess that I did not enjoy cleaning up!! Mikayla got allot of neat gifts, she loved all of them. In the tradition of our family she had a fun party at Chuck E. Cheese.

Mikayla's 1st Dentist Appointment

Mikayla was nervous about her 1st dentist apt. She had heard scary stories from her older sister, Haley! After a bribe or two she decided to be brave. She didn't say much, but was full of smiles for everyone. Strawberry flavor was her choice of fluoride treatments, and to my surprise she left it in her mouth the whole 30 seconds. The dentist report was good, no cavities! At the end of everything she was able to pick a toy out of the box. Mikayla picked a scary looking finger with a long red finger nail. Of all the cool toys to pick from, my daughter picks the weirdest one of all!!!
